Utah 2020

Peter, Matthew and I met up with JT in Utah for a long weekend hitting the slopes.

Day one was at Brighton. An avalanche closed Little Cottonwood Canyon, so Brighton was packed, and traffic was terrible, but it was still well worth it. The best part of Brighton is all these super easy side trails they have through the trees. It's a lot safer than it looks. We decided to try cross country skiing the next day. Peter knew what he was doing. Everyone else was just excited to be out there. Cross country skiing is hard work! We quickly learned coats are not required. Hiking the hill behind JT's house proved to be more challenging than expected. The following day we went skiing at Sundance. Fortunately the film festival ended a week before we arrived. It was a Sunday, and Sundance is deep in Mormon country, so we practically had the place to ourselves. The views were fantastic! Since JT is a fantastic host, he had a library of N64 games for us to play, including Golden Eye 007.
